I’m Alec Newcomb and welcome to my personal blog which I’ve been tinkering with since 2000. I live in South Burlington, VT but was born and raised on the lower east side of New York City. So, I’m a city boy living between the shores of Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains where I like to ski. I’m the Chief Strategy Officer for an internet (SaaS) company called MyWebGrocer where I head up a set of amazing teams(Product Management, Insights, Data, Marketing, Design, Mobile, International, and Business Development) that help everyone from your local corner grocer to global companies like Kellogg’s, Nestle, P&G, McCormick, and Unilever. We digitally support $240 Billion in Grocery sales across 11,000 stores across the US, Europe, and New Zealand.
I also believe in helping build Vermont as a destination for high growth technology companies so I spend my free time advising several local startup’s on leveraging digital and how to better compete in todays global economy.
