- Interesting, useful, but stalls a little as they switch to businesses. Three Stars… Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win by Jocko Willink, Leif Babin
- A good HR/People book but could be 1/2 the length. Three Stars… Why Motivating People Doesn’t Work . . . and What Does: The New Science of Leading, Energizing, and Engaging by Susan Fowler
Learning:
- I’m not a football guy as this book caught on in that world but worth a read for any of us running a company. Three Stars… The Obstacle Is the Way: The Timeless Art of Turning Trials into Triumph by Ryan Holiday
- A very useful book, I learned a lot. Five Stars! 13 Things Mentally Strong People Don’t Do: Take Back Your Power, Embrace Change, Face Your Fears, and Train Your Brain for Happiness and Success by Amy Morin
- I was sceptical but got a lot from this book, Four Stars…Rising Strong by Brené Brown
- If you watched her TED Talk then you will want to read this, Three Stars..Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead by Brené Brown
- I’d pass on this. One Star…A Curious Mind: The Secret to a Bigger Life by Brian Grazer, Charles Fishman

History:

- Easy, Fun, SciFi with a strong cast of characters. Four Stars…The Thief’s Daughter (The Kingfountain Series Book 2) by Jeff Wheeler

- Does a good job of modern scifi in the Harry Potter tradition. Three Stars…The Magicians: A Novel by Lev Grossman

- The Magician’s Land: A Novel (The Magicians Book 3) by Lev Grossman
- Darker post apocalypse SciFi but worth the read. You may want to start with the original series. Three Stars…Shift Omnibus Edition (Shift 1-3) (Silo series Book 2) by Hugh Howey
Funny:
